Overview:

Are you an innovative experienced technologist with a passion for large-scale Enterprise data and analytics solutions and platforms?  This is an opportunity to shape the future of data-driven customer-facing athlete solutions for a leading sports retailer with $14B+ in revenue and 800+ physical stores.  At DICK’S Sporting Goods, we take a people-centric approach to everything we do. The Solution Architect will be hands-on and collaborate with engineering and foundational tech teams to design, build, and deliver technology solutions with working prototypes for proposed business solution designs and to scale solutions into mature DICK'S Sporting Goods enterprise technology capabilities.  Direct Experience with designing and building Service-Oriented & Event-Driven Architectures leveraging Cloud Technologies & Services, Enterprise Storage & Compute platforms, Scaled Data Management solutions, and Third-Party SAAS Integrations is desired. 


As the Solution Architect – Marketing Ad Tech, you will:

  • Drive the technology design and solutioning for our retail advertising solutions including personalization, paid retail media, channel marketing, and disruptive trends (3rd party cookie deprecation)

  • Leverage 1st and 3rd party data in solutions to drive personalized and relevant content to Athletes

  • Develop solution designs and prototypes to enable a scalable, reliable, and effective retail media network

  • Collaborate with business and product stakeholders to map business goals into technology capabilities across many different channels including online, in-store, mobile apps, and various third-party platforms

  • Ensure the proposed solutions are designed to scale and meet the foundational technology guiderails of platforms alignment, data governance, compliance controls (GDPR/CCPA), reliability & performance, and cost management

  • Deliver artifacts to assess business & systems capability impacts, publish current & transitional systems design diagrams, and evaluate non-functional requirements for foundational tech alignment & planning

  • Maintain technology design risks, impacts, and dependency assessments to support the delivery of recommended solutions and technology roadmap planning

To be successful in this role, experience in several areas of our technology stack is desired

  • Adobe Experience Manager

  • Google Marketing Platform & Google Ad Manager

  • LiveRamp

  • Salesforce Media Cloud

  • Snowflake, Databricks, Power BI

  • Java, Spring Boot, Angular, Kubernetes

  • Cloud-native Service architectures with Microsoft Azure & Kubernetes

  • Data Lakes, CDPs, Clean Rooms, Tagging Systems

  • End-to-End Scalability, Reliability, and DR solutioning

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Equivalent Experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in software/data engineering and architecture

  • 2+ years of experience in marketing and media domain technologies

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Demonstrated experience in developing cloud service architectures & solutions

  • Ability to understand the business context and outcomes of the domain

  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously

  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders

  • Ability to collaborate with teams across multiple departments and functions

  • Ability to publish professional architecture artifacts and documentation

  • Ability to provide technical recommendations to technology teams

Targeted Pay Range: $95,200 - $158,800. This is part of a competitive total rewards package that could include other components such as: incentive, equity and benefits. Individual pay is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
